Leadership & Service in Commitment to Diversity

2016: Committee Member, AGU Hydrology Student Subcommittee. Create programming on diversity, mentoring, and professional development for young hydrologists.

2016: Volunteer, Ultimate Re-entry Opportunity Project with Showing Up for Racial Justice. Coordinate travel and meals for 15 recently-incarcerated participants.

2015: Graduate Student Representative, College of Engineering Towards New Destination Workgroup. Provide advice on college-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives.

2013, ’14, ‘15: Graduate Student Advisor, Office of Diversity Programs in Engineering. Mentor 30 undergraduate engineering students from underrepresented minority backgrounds through their academic career. Facilitate a peer-mentoring program for 70+ graduate and undergraduate students.

2014, ‘15: Research Mentor. Supervise two Environmental Science undergraduates from underrepresented minority groups in water quality research projects.

2013, ’14, ‘15: Resident Hall Director, CURIE Academy. Weeklong summer program for high-school girls interested in engineering.

2012-present: Website and social media manager, Soil and Water Lab website and Twitter account.

2012,‘13: Volunteer, Expand Your Horizons Workshop. Watershed workshop for middle school-aged girls.

2012: Student representative to Student Council for Biological and Environmental Engineering Graduate Student Association.
